The mark of a new Begining

Sunday, September 5, 2010 marks an historical day in the life of Missions Possible Community Church. The seed that God had planted months prior to this date has finally germinated. Months, weeks and days before this advent, were filled with nervousness, fear, hope and great expectations. The fear of failure was evident in our minds however God kept eliminating this fear by showing us signs of wonder and hope.
Our first Sunday was a great celebration of praises and worship to God. We had a surprise attendance of 22 worshipping in the adult church and 11 attending our children’s church. Everyone was enthusiastic and ready to take on the challenge, believing that "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God." (Luke 18:27-NKJV).
It was not easy to ignore the lack of sufficient chairs, the scorching heat due to the lack of proper ventilation and air condition and even the absence of a praise and worship team. This however seemingly motivated everyone both young and old. The evidence of this exposes itself on our first Friday night (Youth meeting), where we saw over 30 young people showing up – filled with great zeal and excitement. This trickled down into our second Sunday morning service where 26 worshipers braved the scorching heat to attend adult service and 20 children attended Children’s Church. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!
